Backing up your data
|
Backing up your data is simple. There are only a couple of files that you need to back up:
C:\Program Files\Metalogic\Finance Explorer\mlfe.ini
C:\Program Files\Metalogic\Finance Explorer\Db\mfe.mdb
If you installed MLFE to a different location, replace "C:\Program Files\Metalogic\Finance Explorer\" with the actual folder on your computer.
Restoring is simply a matter of replacing the files from your backup back into their original folders.
The actual backup can be as simple as copying the above files to a floppy disk or writable CD or using your regular backup software such as Windows Backup (here's a tutorial).

Installation issues
|
MLFE depends on several Windows components to run. If MLFE fails to run after being installed, it likely means that some of those components are not properly installed. Simply updating them usually solves the problem. Here is a list of downloads that you can get from Microsoft. You do not need to install them all. Install each one in the order given and try running MLFE again, only if it still doesn't run do you need to install the next component.
